Tag Bag

ALL T-CODED STAMPS ARE 50% OFF THIS MONTH (ending 1/26)- FOLLOW THE LINK ON THE RIGHT SIDE TO SHOP TAC SECURELY ONLINE WITH ME!!

I am back with another project for you to try. I learned how to make this over five years ago. It is a bag made out of two tags and a strip of cardstock. When I learned this we didn't have all the fancy machines ate home for cutting tags. Shipping tags were used to make it and that is just what I have made it with ever since.

For this project you will need 1-8x10 piece of cardstock, two shipping tags, scissors, ribbon, stamps, ink, scraps of patterned paper. If you are using your own tags the size is 2 3/8 x 4 3/4 inches. I used the TAC stamp set Morning Buzz (TB-2942) which is one of the level B hostess rewards sets.

This is the diagram for the cardstock. You will score on the solid lines and cut the dashed ones out. So you are cutting out the four triangles, this makes the folding of the paper much easier.

Here is what the cut out cardstock looks like after I cut the triangles up and folded all the score lines up: Stamp your tags. I also used scraps of the Sands of Time papers to stamps my image and cut out to piece on the tags. Glue or tape the peices on and then edge your tags if you like.I also decided to stamp and edge my carstock - flip it over so the folds are downwards. Use your tape runner on the two middle tabs and attach the tags. Now use your tape runner on the other four tabs and fold up and attach to the inside of the tags.
Just add your ribbon through the top of your tags and your done!!
Now wasn't that simple. I have used these for holiday treats and for party favors. They can be adapted for almost any occasion.

Well, I finally got back to scrapbooking this last week. I was trying to keep up since I started again back in July, so after that I could backtrack. No, that didn't happen.

Paper lunch sack card

Wow, the holidays are over!! Things are finally starting to settle down and I finally had time to do some stamping.

I had a friend visiting over the holidays and spent a lot of time and had fun showing her some different projects. While doing this I realized I had a lot of different projects and ideas that have been sleeping for a while. Some of these were taught to me a few years ago by my mom and my aunt. It was fun doing these again. So, I thought I would start sharing some of these here as well.

This is a card made out of a regular size paper lunch sack.

Supplies I used:

brown paper lunch sack

pink cardstock- 1" x 5 1/4" + 4 1/4" x 5"

white cardstock - 3/4" x 5 1/4" + 2 1/2" x 4"

TAC stamp sets - "Spring Dream" T-2688 + "Just Because" T-2899

TAC Ink -versamagic dew drops (pink) S-9907

scissors, tape runner, stapler, pink staples

Start by using the tape runner on the bottom of the bag and fold the bottom flap over
It will look like this

Fold the bag over to form a card stopping at the crease you made when you folded the bottom

Cut the corners of the bottom flap (right end) on an angle
I used the paisley swirl from the "Spring Dream" stamps for the background on the larger pink paper. Attach this to the front of the card.

Stamp the flower of choice in pink on larger white cardstock, edge with ink. Attach this to the left side of the front of card.

Stamp saying and edge white strip. Mat this onto pink strip. Staple this 1/2 inch from the left side of the front of the card.
Just tuck the flap under the strip and you are done.

Another bag card using stamps from the sets "Just for You" a hostess set, "Hoppy frogs" T-2349, and versamarked on the green is a circle from the "Spring Dream" set used above
